This wooden chest was inspired from one of the many amazing works done for Mortal Kombat 11 created by Julian Elwood.
First, I start with a block-out focusing on camera angle and scale to match the original. Then moving forward with even and balanced geometry.
After creating UVs, I move into Zbrush for metal edge damage, wood grain, and other imperfections that give it a more real and life like structure.
